CAN ANYONE KIND OF DESCRIBE WHAT THE DRIVING STYLE IS LIKE IN A 600? I TEST DROVE A 270 ONCE AND DIDN'T LIKE IT. ESPECIALLY THE SHIFTING DURING THE RACE. I'VE RACED GO-KARTS FOR FIVE YEARS AND A FOUR-CYLINDER AT BLACK ROCK FOR FIVE YEARS AND NO ONE CAN SEEM TO DESCRIBE WHAT IT'S LIKE OR COMPARED TO. I WOULD LIKE TO JOIN YOUR GUYS SERIES NEXT YEAR BUT DON'T WHAT WHAT I'M GETTING INTO THOUGH SO ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS EVERYONE!!!!! ;D

Well, your not gonna shift during the race with the 600, outside of the start - if you choose to do that. I find shifting does help. Basically it's like being on the edge of out of control, how I run my car is high side on the straightaway, than hit the corner late, steer to the right to set the car (you've raced dirt, you know what I mean), and than slide through the set, keeping 1/2 - full throttle down (this depends on the track conditions), than power off the corner, hit the next corner late, set, hold the throttle and power off the corner. Than repeat many times and you have a race. You'll feel the power everytime you hit the throttle, these cars are light and have enough get up and go to where you can spin the tires if you jab the throttle, it's all throttle control and feeling the track. It's like any other dirt car as far as driving style goes, but we are much lighter and have alot of power, so you do have to respect the fact that you can spin the tires and so forth if you jam the throttle. Also, we are much nimbler than a full size car, one must also respect the fact that we are open wheeled and hitching wheels can result in bad things.
Hope that helps ya any.

The berm is good for dry tracks, at least thats what I notice. Not soo much on wet tracks (as you'll push right out).
Anytime.
